Physician Engagement Opportunity: Delirium QI

The HSR-funded project – Delirium QI – is seeking physician input to reduce the incidence of delirium.   Delirium is an organizational priority; it is also a metric on Island Health’s Performance dashboard; however, we do not have a clear picture of how Island Health is performing in reducing the incidence of delirium.  Health System Redesign funding up to $21,620 is committed to this NRGH and RJH-based pilot, allocated entirely to physician compensation.   Engagement will be in the form of a benefits mapping exercise and attendance at a working group.   A few more details are included below for your consideration.  Interested physicians can reach out to project co-lead Dr. Savannah Forrester (Savannah.Forrester@islandhealth.ca).

  • Benefits mapping (June 15 or delayed to September 2022 depending on physician availability);  ½ day @ $158.97/hr.
    RJH – 1 Surgeon
  • Delirium Working Group:  1 FP and 1 SP; 1 hour per month @ $158.97 starting September 2022
