From the executive meeting, December 29, 1948: “A tentative schedule was drawn up for subsequent meetings. In May, Dr. Ridgewood would speak on the subject of “Dr. Lister”- this is to be a dinner” Executive meeting March 24, 1964.” That the Listerian Memorial Orator need not be a retired or senior member but should be one who can give an interesting, informative, and amusing address – the topics of this address need not necessarily adhere strictly to great names in medicine.
