Island Health is excited to offer a new virtual workshop series for medical staff members that consists of four, 2-hour, virtual education sessions. This workshop is intended for medical staff members who have transitioned into leadership roles within the last 18 months (but is also open to medical staff). As key figures in the ongoing improvement of our healthcare delivery, medical staff leadership skills are critical to the success of our teams and the wellbeing of our patients. This workshop aims to equip new medical leaders with the skills to promote and encourage psychologically safe environments through self-introspection and use of language in conflict resolution scenarios.
This learning opportunity is co-funded via the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on Physician Psychological and Physical Safety. Medical staff members will be compensated at sessional rates while attending sessions.
