With a focus on palliative care for your non-cancer patients, attendees will participate in rotating small table case study discussions with specialists from cardiology, nephrology, respirology, hepatology and palliative care to:
- Enhance medical management for seriously ill patients with non-cancer illness
- Learn how to strategize discussing serious illness with patients who don’t want to talk about it within the confines of family practice
- Learn how to reduce the use of non-beneficial medical care near death and support the patient and family as they transition
