Dr. Eddie Moss has recognized Dr. Rusty Ritenour as a COVID-All Star. As he writes:
“As department head for ophthalmology, Dr Ritenour was proactive about raising the issue of COVID to our section well before the potential impacts were widely recognized. Continuously since those early days, through email updates, group calls, and personal calls, he has maintained communication among our members to ensure we feel supported and heard as we navigate the impacts on the practice of ophthalmology in Victoria. Dr Ritenour’s leadership though these weeks clearly demonstrates that he is considering the safety of patients, the physician group, and our staff in his recommendations. He has been up-to-date with the most timely and relevant local COVID information and has been personally available to share that knowledge whenever needed. Dr Ritenour has truly been a stabilizing force for our department during this dynamic time.”
