Fostering Resilience for Health Professionals, a 5-day semi-silent mindfulness-based retreat, is now certified for 31.25 hrs of CFPC Mainpro+ Group Learning credits.

Drs. Mark Lau, R.Psych. and Andrea Grabovac, MD, FRCPC, both certified Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) teachers and MBCT Mentors with the UCSD Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute, will be teaching this 5-day retreat that focuses on training skills to cope with burnout and to increase resiliency. Learning objectives include:

1.  Apply a precise, actionable definition of mindfulness to well-being and resilience
2.  Work with attention and awareness to develop metacognitive awareness, interoceptive awareness and equanimity
3.  Detect and skillfully respond to warning signs of burnout by applying the Co-Emergence Model of Reinforcement
4. Learn to shift habitual reactions to daily stressors using mindfulness skills
