How to Access Mandatory IHealth Education to Prepare for Go-Live

Visit the IHealth website—Medical Staff page for information on how to register and complete your  education in preparation for the IHealth Go-Live coming up May 25 for VGH, South Island Surgical Centre and Gorge Road Health Centre and June 8 for RJH.

If you not yet registered for your education, or have education questions, call the Provider Education and Experience team immediately at 250-713-0484, or email IHealthEducation@islandhealth.ca.

Supernumeraries: Funding and Responsibilities

Supernumerary positions are in place to support colleagues during the first weeks of an activation.

Supernumerary positions are offered for those areas that cannot reduce the number of patients seen. These areas Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist Medicine, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Nephrology and Perinatal Medicine. IHealth offers funding for supernumeraries, while the identification and scheduling of supernumerary physicians is the responsibility of the specific division/department.
