PQI Cohort 7 has re-launched!

Physician Quality Improvement (PQI) is a professional development and education program for Community or Facility-based Medical Staff who want to enhance their QI capacity and create a continuous improvement culture to transform our local health system. The PQI curriculum was specifically designed by Medical Staff, for Medical Staff to give you tools you can apply in real time. Join our local community of over 100 Physicians and Nurse Practitioners to start a well supported, fun, QI journey!

Be part of Cohort 7 for an awesome opportunity to learn QI with colleagues at in-person and virtual workshops across Vancouver Island, starting in September 2022 at the lovely Tigh-Na-Mara resort in Parksville (travel & resort accommodation funded through PQI) – applications are due May 6th at 4:00pm. Check out the Program at a Glance for the updated schedule.

The PQI Cohort education program offers:

  • CME accreditation and up to $26,700 in funding for community or facility-based physicians licensed in B.C. (168 hours at JCC-rate)
  • Engaging virtual and in-person workshops led by an expert faculty team of Alumni physicians and PQI staff
  • The opportunity to practice the QI methodology by leading a learning project with a team to address a gap in care in your area with the support of experienced physician mentors, staff coordinators, graphic designers and data analysts
  • Ability to apply as a group to co-lead a project with a physician, midwife, or NP on your team, or another team that is impacted by the gap in care you’d like to address. (For example, if you want to work on improving a referral process the co-applicants could be someone from the group sending the referral and someone from the group receiving it)

Feeling the effects of burnout or moral injury? Consider doing a PQI project on increasing Joy in Work! Contact us for more details.
