Over the next several weeks, we’ll be celebrating those who received South Island MSA Recognition Awards at this year’s Annual General Meeting.
Our first award of the night was celebrated in absentia…but certainly celebrated! (There was even a happy gasp from someone in the audience – it was delightful!). We are thrilled to recognize the collaborative contributions of Dr. Adele Harrison.
Dr. Adele Harrison has made a profound and enduring impact on quality improvement across Island Health. After practicing at VGH as a Neonatologist, Dr. Harrison held medical leadership roles in Quality Improvement and Medical Staff Development, where she empowered others to address clinical challenges with practical, shared solutions. Adele’s commitment to meaningful collaboration and her ability to bring people together were instrumental in Island Health achieving Choosing Wisely Canada’s Quality Improvement designation. Her steady advocacy, expertise, and genuine dedication to partnership have helped shape the strong culture of quality improvement and collaboration among South Island medical staff.
Thank you, Adele, for sharing your inspired leadership and genuine passion!
